PWA vs APK: choosing how to open SlotKaki on your phone

Here, PWA means the SlotKaki web version you add to your home screen, while APK is the Android app installed from the app button on slotkaki.shop. Your account, balance and games are identical in both. Choose the APK if you are on Android and want a proper app. Choose the PWA on an iPhone, on a phone that blocks APKs, or when storage is nearly full.

PWA: the web version pinned to your home screen

A Progressive Web App (PWA) is a website saved as an icon on your home screen and opened straight from that icon, much like an app. For SlotKaki it is simply the web version you add yourself. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed.

Because it loads the site directly, you always get the current version with no updates to manage. It also needs an internet connection every time you open it, just like any website. We make no promise that the web version works offline or sends notifications.

  1. On Android: open slotkaki.shop in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, choose "Add to home screen" or "Install app", and confirm.
  2. On iPhone or iPad: follow the Safari steps in the iPhone and iPad guide.

APK: the Android app you install yourself

APK (Android Package Kit) is the file format Android uses to install apps. The SlotKaki Android app is distributed as an APK through the app button on slotkaki.shop only, not through Google Play.

On the plus side, you get a dedicated app icon, no dependence on a browser tab, and a login that stays separate from the browser you use for everything else. On the minus side, you have to allow installs from an outside source once, install every new version yourself, and make sure the file came from the right place. The steps are in the Android installation guide.

Neither option changes the games themselves. Game results are decided on the provider's server, not by the way you open them. For Huawei phones without Google Play, the details are in the Huawei guide.

On iPhone, the PWA is the only option

There is no SlotKaki app for iOS, and an iPhone cannot install APK files. On iPhone and iPad the route is Safari > Share > Add to Home Screen.

Anyone offering a "SlotKaki iOS app", a configuration profile or a developer certificate to trust in Settings is not the operator. Turn the offer down. A home-screen shortcut is all you need, and it always opens the address you saved.

Which suits an older phone or low storage

Older phones tend to have limited storage and an Android version that no longer gets security updates. In that situation the web version is often the more practical choice.

As an illustration, a 32 GB phone with only 400 MB free may fail to install the APK, or slow down badly afterwards. The web version avoids that space problem. For a closer look at terms like cache and PWA, see app technical terms.

Frequently asked questions

Can the SlotKaki PWA be used without internet?

No. The home-screen web version loads the site each time it opens, so it needs a connection. The APK is the same, because your account and the games load from the server. If your signal is weak, switch between WiFi and mobile data before you play.

Which is safer, the PWA or the APK?

Both are safe when they start from the right source. The PWA risk is a fake site imitating the address, so check it before adding the icon. The APK risk is a fake file, so download only from the app button on slotkaki.shop.

Can I keep both the PWA and the APK on one phone?

Yes. Both open the same account, so your balance and history are neither doubled nor split. To avoid confusion, most people settle on one and remove the other. Log out of whichever method you stop using.

Both options start in the same place For the APK, use the app button on slotkaki.shop. For the PWA, open the same site in your browser and add it to your home screen. Check the address first either way.
